What a wonderful read on a sunday night (I'm late to the party). Forwarding this to my 10 best friends now :) Also: instead of switching bank (already did that last year), I finally switched to a green electricity provider! Yay!

Welcome Anna, I'm so glad you're here, and thanks for sharing the newsletter love! :) Great job on switching your bank already! We haven't talked about green electricity in We Can Fix It yet, will add that for a forthcoming issue. Thanks for reading!

Thanks for this newsletter! I'm currently feeling very anxious and overwhelmed about all of this. My goal is to allow my feelings but not despair and have anxiety attacks that won't help me or anyone. As someone from the southern hemisphere and middle-class, the feeling that I can't really do anything that will really matter is scary. Here in Brazil we have probably the worst Federal government we could in any situation, including climate. But it does seem they won't be re-elected next year. One can only hope.

Hi Larissa, thanks so much for reading-- I'm sorry you're feeling anxious and overwhelmed. You're definitely not alone! Far too many of us can relate to feeling powerless compared with governments that aren't serving their citizens well in the climate crisis. I know the situation is especially tough in Brazil right now. I hope We Can Fix It gives you some ideas and inspiration for ways you can use the power you do have well. Take care!

Thanks for another nice newsletter! I recently created an account at Ekobanken and using it as a saving's account (very happy with them!). But I was not aware of the credit unions in Sweden. Have you switched entirely to it? It is indeed nice that they have a bank card and Swish which Ekobanken does not have. Is there any services you miss from the sparbanken?

Thanks for reading Sachiko! Nice to hear you have a good experience with Ekobanken. It sounds like a savings account there, + a checking/bill-paying account at a sparbanken is a good solution. Yes, I have switched entirely to Sparbanken Skåne and closed my Nordea account, which felt great. :) Sparbanken Skåne has all the services I had from Nordea, plus a lot more that I never used /knew about at Nordea. We had a personalized meeting with a financial planner at SS and got some good tips on e.g., life insurance, home loans, löneväxling, ISKs, and other financial advice. It is much easier to work with them than Nordea, you can easily talk to a human being on the phone or in the branch. My main tip would be to pick a branch with a physical office near you, it has been really convenient to be able to go in person and take care of things. Let us know if you decide to switch and how it goes!

Thank you for the reply Kim! Hmm, that's a good insight, because I was actually considering picking a sparbanken in the direction where my sambo has a summer house... and still a bit away from there. I really like the idea of that sparbanken investing in the local area there in Värmland... but would be super far from my normal residence of Uppsala and maybe not the most convenient. I have my main account at SEB now and really do love the idea of leaving them though... :)

Thanks for sharing your experience! It seems that I have to think this through a bit more..

Yay Pam for switching to a credit union! Wells Fargo is the 3rd worst funder of fossil fuels *in the world* since the Paris Agreement- over $220 BILLION since 2015! :( (See the graph here: https://www.ran.org/bankingonclimatechaos2021/) Let us know how the switch goes!
