Thanks for the info & book suggestions. I just ordered the climate coaching one... hoping it will increase my effectiveness in encouraging my healthcare association to increase its climate-friendliness. Btw, your "Under the Sky We Make" kick started my increased personal & professional pro-climate activities. Happy New Year.

Hi Divya, I'm glad/sorry to hear you can relate! (We need a word for that climate emotion too- glad to know we're not alone, sorry that you're also going through this tough climate emotion.)

Yes, are there some suggestions for this word out there?

It was strange for me to feel it this year because I didn't grow up here. But it was weird seeing daisies in bloom, and my grass allergies acting up. Our outdoor plant gave its first fruit in November! Our cat grew thicker fur and then started shedding it. It was all very uncanny.

I haven't seen a word for that feeling-- could check with the Bureau of Linguistical Reality?

ugh, allergies in November-- and poor kitty being thrown off too. It's striking to recognise the seasons are off, even when we don't have a long baseline of experience.

haha yes!! I met the creators at a side event for the 2015 Paris Agreement, and have enjoyed following their work ever since. I keep meaning to bring some of their work into the newsletter-- keep an eye out for 2023! :)

I hear you about subscript and superscript. Substack does do them, there's just some weird coding trick and I just don't know how. But if you can find someone who figured it out, you can copy the subscript and use it on yours. Here's one with subscript.

If you need a superscript for degrees, I've used it here. I found it somewhere else and now just copy it every time.

I did ask during Office Hours but didn't get a clear answer.

Oh thanks so much for this Substack tip, Melanie! I will try to figure out the subscripts and let you know if I succeed, so we can both have beautiful nerdy correctly formatted posts. :)

When will your book Under the Sky We Make be translated to Swedish? I think it is great, but many of those I want to recommend it to find it difficult to read in English. How much would it cost? Can I donate to support such an action?
